Job summary

Village Ice Cream is seeking a Store Manager for our Bridgeland location in Calgary. This full-time role puts you at the helm of culture, coaching a team, and delivering exceptional hospitality, while balancing meetings with the hands-on scooping experience.

You will lead a team of up to 25 Scoopers, onboard and train staff, manage performance, and coordinate store operations to ensure excellent guest experiences and efficient service.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of people management experience.
• Experience delivering exceptional customer service in a restaurant or retail environment.
• Ability to lead and develop others.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Flexible and able to respond to store emergencies and staffing needs.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain a healthy team environment for up to 25 Scoopers.
• Onboard and train new Scoopers to meet seasonal demand.
• Engage in regular performance management including scoop weighing, product knowledge tests, and hospitality training.
• Facilitate strong working relationships between front of house and back of house.
• Create and implement strategies for exceptional hospitality and operational excellence.
• Create and manage weekly shift schedules to meet labour cost targets.
• Lead in store maintenance, inventory, and supplier relations.
• Participate in company events and employee engagement initiatives.
