Job summary

Designer Brands Canada is seeking a Store Manager for The Shoe Co. in Canada. You will lead a team to deliver in-store sales, web orders, and customer experiences while coaching staff and meeting store objectives.

The role requires a hands-on leader who can train, recruit, and drive peak performance in a fast-paced retail environment. You will manage operations, scheduling, and payroll while maintaining brand standards and delivering exceptional customer service.

Qualifications

• Educational background: relevant post-secondary education
• Minimum 4 years of experience in progressive retail supervisory role
• Proven success in achieving sales and profitability targets in large volume stores
• Positive and energetic team player with strong leadership capability
• Proven ability to motivate others
• Proficiency in computer use, including email, MS Word and Excel
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while creating a compelling customer experience
• Ability to work days, closing shifts and weekends
• Mobile within a geographic area

Responsibilities

• Assumes leadership role with accountability for maximizing store business results by consistently creating exceptional customer experiences
• Facilitates achievement of business results by role modelling a shopping experience that encourages responsive customer service and strong merchandising and operational integrity
• Lead an operationally sound business balancing policies, shrink/loss prevention, payroll, reporting, and scheduling
• Recruit, manage, develop, and train top talent who love shoes
• Achieve company objectives and enhance The Shoe Co. brand image by upholding company values
• Develop and implement agile business plans to achieve results
• Foster teamwork, collaboration and change advocacy within the store and district
• Maintain open communication with Senior Operational Managers
