Job summary

Advance Auto Parts Inc. in Hamilton is seeking aDriver to pick, stage and deliver parts to pro customers and handle related duties. You will manage returns, promote sales, collect credit accounts and build relationships with key pro customers while upselling where appropriate.

Experience in automotive parts is preferred. A high school diploma is required and a valid driver's license with a clean record is a must. The role requires working days, evenings and weekends with safety as a priority.

• Read and interpret safety rules, manuals, and parts catalogs.
• Use basic math accurately and work flexible days/evenings/weekends.

Job description

Position Responsibilities

• Pick, stage and safely deliver parts to pro customers
• Pick up returns and cores
• Drop off weekly/monthly sales flyers while promoting current sales and loyalty programs
• Daily collection of credit accounts
• Build and maintain relationships with MainStreet and National Pro customers while providing the CPP with insights learned while making deliveries
• Assist in upselling and cross-selling products to increase average transaction value
• Maintain store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, facing, dusting and parking lot
• General stocking including truck stocking, back stock and cycle counts
• Maintain knowledge of product inventory and new arrivals to assist with sales
• Engage with walk-in customers to understand their needs and recommend appropriate parts or services
• Other duties as assigned

Prior Experience that Sets a Driver up for Success

Automotive parts experience is preferred

Education

Compensation Range

Compensation Range: The range of expected compensation for this role is between 17.95 CAD and 18.85 CAD per hour for a new team member. The rate offered to a successful candidate depends on multiple factors, including geographic location, experience in retail, automotive knowledge, education, leadership roles, and other skillsets ideal for this position and shift differential (if applicable).
