Glenlyon Norfolk School in Victoria, BC invites applications for a Store Associate. This part-time role supports the Gryphon Door, selling uniforms, school supplies and apparel to students, families and staff.

You will deliver warm, attentive service, learn the school’s POS system, handle cash and inventory, and maintain store standards. Hours are Mondays and Wednesdays 8:00 am–12:00 pm, with full-time hours during peaks in June and August; start is immediate.

Qualifications

• Minimum prior retail or customer service experience.
• Cash handling and basic math skills required.
• Willingness to learn the School's POS system.

Store Associate

Part-time position

Mondays & Wednesdays, 8:00 am - 12:00 pm

(Full-time hours during peak periods in June and Aug)

Rate: $23 / hour

Position Overview:

Reporting to the Store Manager, the Store Associate supports the day-to-day operations of the School’s Gryphon Door, providing uniforms, school supplies and other specialty items to students, families and staff. Working both independently and as part of a team, this role delivers warm, attentive service and helps create a positive and welcoming experience for every customer. The Store Associate develops a strong knowledge of GNS uniform requirements to help students be properly outfitted and supports the growth of GNS-branded apparel, non-uniform items and promotional merchandise. What You’ll Bring

We are looking for a warm, personable and service-oriented individual who enjoys helping others and takes pride in creating a welcoming experience for every customer. You will bring retail and customer service experience, along with a friendly and approachable manner and a natural ability to build positive relationships with students, families and colleagues. You are confident using technology and able to quickly learn the School’s point of sale system and related tools. A sound understanding of retail operations, including cash handling, inventory processes, merchandising and maintaining store standards, would be an asset.
