Fairmont Palliser in Calgary invites you to join our team as a part-time Steward Helper, supporting the kitchen and ensuring smooth daily operations.

You will work with a dedicated team to maintain cleanliness, safety, and exceptional guest experiences in a luxury hotel setting.

Qualifications

• One year of previous experience in a similar position is an asset.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, high-volume Kitchen
• Should be able to handle multiple tasks in a timely manner
• Strong organizational skills
• A strong capacity to work with and motivate a culturally diverse work force
• Energetic, self-motivated, proactive, out-going, team-player

Responsabilités

• Provide professional, friendly service to guests and colleagues
• Maintain safe, clean work environment and comply with Health & Safety standards
• Ensure food safety and hygiene policies are followed
• Complete temperature records accurately
• Deliver clean areas and equipment in F&B areas
• Perform daily cleaning of back spaces and equipment
• Operate main dishwashers and restock equipment
• Maintain recycling and composting procedures
• Assist Kitchen team with food service delivery
• Know WHMIS and sustainability policies

We invite you to join the world of luxury hospitality at Fairmont Palliser as our new Steward Helper (Part‑time). Inspire and create the grandest experience for our guest, clients and colleagues every day. As a Steward Helper, you will play an important role in support of your colleagues and the preparation of exceptional cuisine. Reporting to the Chief Steward.

Key Responsibilities

• Consistently offers professional, friendly and proactive service to all our guest and colleagues
• Maintains a safe and clean work environment and ensures that all Health & Safety standards are met, procedures followed, and has the knowledge and tools to work safely
• Maintains awareness of, and ensures compliance with all food safety & hygiene policies and that procedures are followed at all times
• Completes alltemperature records, honestly and correctly
• Delivers a clean & sanitary work area and equipment in all Food & Beverage areas, including the staff cafeteria & Fairmont Gold Lounge
• Performs daily cleaning duties of all F&B back spaces and equipment
• Operates the main dishwashers and restocks equipment in all Food and Beverage areas.
• Maintains proper recycling and composting procedures
• Assists the Kitchen team with food service delivery as needed
• Has good knowledge of WHIMIS
• Maintains awareness of, and ensures compliance with all sustainability and food waste reduction/diversion policies, procedures and programs at the hotel
• Performs other duties as assigned
