Job summary

Lighthouse Dental Kingston is looking for a part-time Sterilization Technician to join the Kingston office. You will clean, package, sterilize, and store instruments, monitor sterilization equipment, and maintain records to support IPAC compliance and audit readiness.

The role requires IPAC experience or related training, with preferred pathways in Dental Assisting or MDRT programs. A collaborative clinical team environment and ongoing professional growth are offered.

Qualifications

• Previous clinical experience in sterilization is an asset.
• Completion of an accredited Dental Assisting or Medical Device Reprocessing Technician (MDRT) program is preferred.
• Experience with IPAC (Infection Prevention and Control) is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Clean, package, sterilize, and store dental instruments in compliance with IPAC standards and provincial regulations.
• Operate and monitor sterilization equipment, completing required testing and documentation.
• Maintain accurate records to support compliance and audit readiness.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and organized reprocessing area following health and safety protocols.
• Identify and report equipment or sterilization issues promptly.
• Collaborate with the clinical team to support efficient patient flow.
