Job summary

Landmark Dental Centre is seeking a Sterilization Assistant in Kelowna to clean, package, sterilize, and store dental instruments in IPAC-compliant ways. You will operate sterilization equipment, complete tests, and keep precise records to ensure audit readiness.

The role supports the clinical team, ensuring a safe reprocessing area and smooth patient flow. Prior sterilization experience and an accredited MDRT or Dental Assisting program are preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous clinical experience in sterilization is an asset.
• IPAC (Infection Prevention and Control) experience is an asset.
• Completion of an accredited Dental Assisting and/or MDRT program is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean, package, sterilize, and store dental instruments in IPAC-compliant manner.
• Operate and monitor sterilization equipment, perform tests and document results.
• Maintain accurate records to support compliance and audit readiness.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and organized reprocessing area following health and safety protocols.
• Identify and report equipment or sterilization issues promptly.
• Collaborate with clinical team to support efficient patient flow.

The wage for this Sterilization Assistant position is$25/hour depending on skills, experience, and location.

Your Role:

About You:

• Previousclinicalexperience workingin sterilizationroleis consideredan asset
• Completion ofan accredited Dental Assisting and/orMedical Device Reprocessing Technician (MDRT) Programsis preferred
• Experience with IPAC (Infection Prevention and Control) is an asset
