Job summary

Birch Mountain Enterprises LP is hiring Steam Truck Operators for 6-7 month temporary roles with potential for permanency. The position requires a Class 5 license with Air Brake (Q) endorsement and a clean driving record, plus experience operating high-pressure steam trucks.

You will work from the Fort Hills site serving Fort McMurray region, washing heavy equipment and vehicles. Candidate should be mechanically inclined, physically fit for all weather, and ready for a 7-on, 7-off shift pattern

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Class 5 license with Air Brake (Q) endorsement and a clean driver’s abstract.
• Experience operating high pressure steam trucks.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.
• WHMIS, OSSA (BSO/CSO) and CSTS certification.

Responsibilities

• Operate a High-Pressure Steam Truck to wash heavy equipment and light vehicles.
• Complete daily documentation including logs, work orders, risk assessments, and pre/post trip inspections.
• Follow Dispatch or Supervisor instructions for tasks.
• Perform daily housekeeping of assigned truck to maintain company image.
• Attend daily safety meetings and adhere to site safety regulations.

Job Summary:

Operating from the Fort Hills site, this position involves the safe operation of a Steam Truck for washing of heavy equipment and various industrial related projects throughout the Fort McMurray region.

Operators should be mechanically inclined and physically fit to work in all kinds of weather. Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience in the operation of high-pressure steam trucks.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operation of a High-Pressure Steam Truck - washing heavy equipment and light duty vehicles
• Completion of daily documentation including but not limited to paper or electronic logbooks, customer work orders, field level risk assessment, pre/post trip inspections
• Follow instructions for tasks assigned by Dispatch or Supervisor
• Complete daily housekeeping of assigned truck to ensure maintenance of company image
• Attend daily tool box and safety meetings as scheduled and adhere to corporate and site safety regulations and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Must possess a valid Class 5 with Q endorsement driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract.
• Experience operating high pressure steam truck.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.
• WHMIS, OSSA (or OSSA BSO or CSO) and CSTS certification.
• Must successfully pass BME driver’s evaluation, D&A and fit for duty pre-employment screening.
