Birch Mountain Enterprises is hiring experienced Class 1 Operators at the Kearl site. TDG knowledgeable with 3 years of manual transmission experience and previous fluid hauling on water and vac trucks is required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operate various Class 1 units at the Kearl site safely.
• Complete daily logs, work orders and inspections.
• Follow dispatch or supervisor instructions and safety rules.
• Maintain truck cleanliness and perform pre/post trip checks.
• Attend toolbox and safety meetings and uphold TDG/WHMIS standards.

Job Summary:

Operating from our client site, Kearl Lake, this position involves the safe operation of several types of Class 1 units, hauling both water and sewer. Operators should be mechanically inclined and physically fit to work in all kinds of weather. Preference will be given to candidates that possess previous experience in the industrial sector.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operateseveral types of units (Water, sewer,Vacuum)in a safe and efficientmanner.
• Must be physically able to perform tasks and work in allweather.
• Completion of daily documentation including but not limited to dailylogbooks, customer work orders, field level risk assessment, pre/post tripinspections.
• Follow instructions for tasks assigned by Dispatch or Supervisor.
• Complete daily housekeeping of assigned truck to ensure maintenance of companyimage.
• Attend dailytoolboxand safety meetings as scheduled and adhere to corporate and site safety regulations and procedures.

• Maintain and operate all BME tools and equipment to the required standards andprocedures.
• Ensure that all training is keptcurrent.
• Follow all TDG and WHMIS standards andregulations.
• Seek out continuous improvementopportunities.
• Provide customer-focused services in allactivities.

Qualifications:

• Possess a valid Class 1 driver’s license with clean driver’s abstract.
• Minimum 3years experienceincluding up to 18 speed manual class 1 equipment.
• Previous or relatedexperience operatingWater and Vac units.
• Minedriveexperience required.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.
• OSSA (or BSO/CSO) and CSTS certification.
• Certification in Transportation of Dangerous Good, Daily Trip Inspections, Provincial Hours of Service for Alberta, Weights and Dimensions, Cargo Securement for flatbeds, WHMIS, H2S Alive and First Aid.
• Must successfully pass BME driver’s evaluation, Drug and Alcohol and fit for duty pre-employmentscreening.
