Job summary

SAIT partners with the Solicitor General and Alberta Advanced Education to deliver Standard First Aid Training at Calgary Correctional Centre (CCC). Instruction is scheduled on-site in Calgary, with programs running Monday through Friday, up to six hours daily and about ten courses per year.

The ideal candidate is a certified Standard First Aid Instructor with 5+ years’ teaching experience and red cross provider status.

Qualifications

• Certified Standard First Aid Instructor with 5+ years of teaching experience.
• Authorized Red Cross Provider.
• Experience with Office 365 (Word, Outlook and PowerPoint).
• Fluent in English reading and vocabulary.
• Comfortable speaking to the public; positive and respectful.
• Ability to read, interpret and deliver curriculum.
• Excellent communication and written information organization.
• Desired: H2S Alive Instructor Certification.
• Training in adult learning, facilitation or online technologies.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Standard First Aid training on site at Calgary Correctional Centre.
• Schedule and deliver courses Monday to Friday, up to 6 hours per day.
• Coordinate onboarding and ensure Police Information Check compliance.
• Engage learners, present curriculum clearly and effectively.
• Maintain attendance and course completion records.
