Job summary

SAIT’s Continuing Education and Professional Studies seeks a certified H2S Alive Instructor to deliver on-site training at Calgary Correctional Centre. The role operates Monday–Friday with a 2‑day course capped at four hours per day and about ten courses annually.

The ideal candidate is an authorized H2S provider with five years of teaching experience, strong English proficiency, and proven public speaking abilities. Police check required.

Qualifications

• Certified H2S Alive Instructor with minimum 5 years teaching experience.
• Authorized H2S provider.
• Experience and fluency with Office 365 (MS Word, Outlook and PowerPoint).
• Fluent in English reading and vocabulary.
• Comfortable speaking to the public.
• Positive & respectful attitude.
• Ability to read, interpret and deliver specific curriculum.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to organize and present written information.
• Training or education in adult learning or facilitation (desired).

Responsibilities

• Deliver H2S Alive training on-site at Calgary Correctional Centre (CCC).
• Schedule: 2-day course / max 4 hours per day, Monday to Friday (holidays excluded).
• Coordinate approximately 10 courses per year.
• Read, interpret and deliver prescribed curriculum.
• Engage and coach learners in a respectful, professional manner.
