Qualifications

Job description

To help you excel In your clinical assessment tasks, a fully trained professional technical staff are on board all the time to support you including a registered pharmacy technician.

Duties

  • Dispense prescription medications with accuracy and attention to detail, ensuring proper dosage and administration instructions.
  • Provide expert consultation to patients and healthcare providers regarding medication use, potential side effects, and interactions.
  • Monitor patient responses to medications, help in adjusting therapy plans in collaboration with medical teams for optimal results.
  • Maintain comprehensive medication records, ensuring compliance with legal and safety standards.
  • Educate patients on medication adherence, proper storage, and safety precautions to promote effective treatment outcomes.
  • Help in administering vaccines in the pharmacy as per the policy of Ontario College of Pharmacits expanded scope of practice.
  • Mastering the practice of all the clinical tasks in line with the current scope of practice adopted by Ontario College of Pharmacists including prescribing medications for minor ailments, extending prescriptions for chronic medications ensuring the continuation of patient care.
  • Stay current with medical terminology, pharmaceutical updates, and industry best practices to deliver informed patient care.

Requirements

  • Valid pharmacist license in the province of Ontario.
  • Valid Injection training as well as CPR certifications is a must in order to be able to administer vaccines.
  • Good knowledge of Kroll dispensing software is an asset.
  • Prior experience in similar roles is an asset yet not a must.
  • Ability to work in teams for a common goal to excel in providing patient care through clear communication and leadership skills.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to regulatory standards.
