Job description

Mednow Pharmacy is building a more convenient, connected and personalized pharmacy experience for Canadians.

We combine the services patients expect from a great community pharmacy with technology designed to make accessing and managing care easier. Our digital platform supports online prescription management, pharmacist chat, integrated delivery, digital workflows and other tools that allow our pharmacy team to spend more time focused on patients.

Mednow is also part of a broader healthcare platform connecting pharmacy and medical care. More than 50 physicians actively provide care through the Mednow platform, both virtually and through in-home visits. We operate a pharmacy in Vancouver and work with pharmacy partners across Canada.

Our goal is simple: use technology to make pharmacy more accessible, efficient and personal without losing the relationship and clinical judgment that great pharmacy care requires.

The Role

We are looking for a Staff Pharmacist to join our Toronto pharmacy team.

This is a hands-on community pharmacist role that includes dispensing, counselling, medication management, clinical services and day-to-day pharmacy operations. The difference is the environment in which you'll be working.

Our pharmacists use technology, integrated delivery, digital communication and connected physician workflows to provide patients with a more seamless pharmacy experience. You'll work closely with pharmacy assistants, other pharmacists, physicians and our patient support team to ensure patients receive safe, timely and high-quality care.

What You'll Do
  • Accurately review, verify and dispense prescriptions in accordance with Ontario regulations and professional standards
  • Counsel patients on medications, adherence, side effects, interactions and appropriate use
  • Conduct medication reviews and provide pharmacist-led clinical services within scope of practice
  • Assess and prescribe for minor ailments where appropriate
  • Identify and resolve drug therapy problems and communicate with prescribers when necessary
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals involved in a patient's care
  • Support patients through both traditional and digital channels, including phone and secure chat
  • Oversee and support pharmacy assistants and other pharmacy team members
  • Maintain accurate patient profiles, documentation and pharmacy records
  • Ensure prescriptions and deliveries are prepared accurately and on time
  • Use Kroll and Mednow's digital tools and workflows to manage prescriptions and patient care
  • Maintain compliance with OCP standards, applicable legislation, privacy requirements and pharmacy policies
  • Help identify opportunities to improve pharmacy workflows, patient experience and operational efficiency
  • Contribute to a collaborative, patient-first culture as Mednow continues to grow
What We're Looking For
  • Licensed and in good standing with the Ontario College of Pharmacists
  • Bachelor of Pharmacy or PharmD from an accredited institution
  • Strong knowledge of Ontario pharmacy practice and applicable professional standards
  • Experience working in a community pharmacy environment
  • Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail
  • Comfortable counselling and communicating with patients
  • Collaborative and comfortable working directly with physicians and other healthcare professionals
  • Comfortable learning and working with new technology and digital workflows
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-moving pharmacy environment while maintaining a high standard of patient care
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Experience with Kroll is strongly preferred.

Why Mednow?
  • Practice pharmacy differently. You'll have the opportunity to work in a technology-enabled pharmacy where digital tools are designed to reduce administrative friction and improve the patient experience.
  • Connected care. Our pharmacy operates alongside a network of 50+ physicians providing virtual and in-home care, creating opportunities for closer collaboration between pharmacists and prescribers.
  • More ways to support patients. Patients can interact with us digitally, by phone and through traditional pharmacy channels, with integrated delivery making medications more accessible.
  • Help build what's next. Mednow is growing its pharmacy network and healthcare platform across Canada. You'll join a team that is actively improving how pharmacy and primary care can work together.

Most importantly, we're looking for someone who believes that technology should make pharmacy more human, not less—giving pharmacists better tools and more opportunities to provide excellent patient care.
