GreenShield is seeking a Pharmacist (Operations Role) for its online pharmacy to oversee dispensary operations, verify prescriptions, counsel patients, and support clinical services under the Ontario College of Pharmacists guidelines.   • Monitor and adjust dispensary operations and standard operating procedures as needed to maintain patient safety, accuracy, customer service, and patient care.
  • Train pharmacy team members to ensure sound operations and adherence to standards of practice and standard operating procedures.
  • Participate in identifying, documenting, analyzing, and resolving medication incidents using Pharmapod.

THEROLE IN A NUTSHELL

Base Salary: CAD $72,521.00 - 109,341.00

As the Pharmacist (Operations Role) at ouronline pharmacy, you play a pivotal role in customer service, patient care, anddelivery of pharmacy services to our growing patient population. Yourresponsibilities encompass the entire practice scope for Pharmacists under theOntario College of Pharmacists. This includes ensuring the safety and qualityof pharmaceutical product preparation and release, providing service andsupport to our group home residents and staff, clinical verification ofprescription orders, prescription counseling, overseeing all dispensaryactivities, and providing training, guidance, and direction on standardoperating procedures for the pharmacy. You will participate in some clinicalservices such as minor ailments prescribing and pharmaceutical opinions as wellas supporting opportunities for the clinical pharmacist team in determiningpatient eligibility and fitness for the full suite of clinical services weoffer (identify, approach, and schedule patient services). In addition, you maybe called upon to provide reporting on various metrics to support decisionmaking by leadership. Your role is crucial in maintaining a seamless workflow,meeting deadlines, and delivering exceptional customer service. In all theduties you perform it is essential to comply with all ethics and standards ofpractise of the Ontario College of Pharmacists for Regulated PharmacyTechnicians and under the supervision of licensed Pharmacists.
