Job summary

Lawtons in Nova Scotia is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to join our patient-centered pharmacy team. You will provide exceptional counseling, ensure safe medication use, and participate in disease state management and injections when appropriate.

You will collaborate with Pharmacy Registered Technicians and Assistants, stay compliant with regulatory requirements, and help deliver seamless care across locations. A Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and provincial license are required.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist with a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and licensed in the province.
• Injection and First Aid Certification.
• Kroll software experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient counseling and education for new therapies to patients and caregivers, tailoring to literacy, hearing, and privacy needs.
• Initiate care plans, follow up, and complete proper documentation.
• Participate in professional programs and collaborate with colleagues to provide health and wellness services.
• Ensure prescription safety by prioritizing technical functions and delegating tasks as required.
• Stay current on regulatory requirements and industry trends; participate in required training.

• Initiate care plans, follow up, and complete proper documentation.
• Participate in professional programs and collaborate with colleagues to provide excellence in health and wellness services to all patients.
• Actively engage in all areas of Fusion to ensure patients experience seamless care and a consistent pharmacy experience across locations.
• Ensure prescription safety by prioritizing technical functions and delegating tasks to Pharmacy Registered Technicians and Assistants as required.
• Thoroughly understand all relevant corporate pharmacy service offerings and programs, providing each customer/patient with the program that best meets their health care needs.
• Maintain current knowledge of pharmacy practice, regulatory requirements, and industry trends/developments; attend training as required.
• Adhere to all regulatory requirements, company policies, processes, and procedures (e.g., OHS, Loss Prevention, CQI).

What you bring to the table:

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from a recognized institution.
• Licensed Pharmacist in good standing in the province of responsibility.
• Injection and First Aid Certification.
• Kroll software experience is preferred.
