• Identify and assess student learning needs through observation, data review, and collaboration with teachers and parents.
• Administer screening tools (e.g., DIBELS) and use results to plan interventions.
• Develop and implement IEPs and student support plans per division/provincial guidelines.
• Provide direct instruction/intervention in literacy, numeracy, and executive functioning.
• Support transitions between grades/programs and coordinate class formation meetings.
• Share student support information with classroom teachers before the school year starts.
• Organize EAs deployment and supervision schedules.

RESOURCE TEACHER

Primary Duties:

• Identify and assess student learning needs through observation, data review, and collaboration with teachers and parents.
• Administer screening and assessment tools (ex: DIBELS) and use results to support intervention and instructional planning.
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and student support plans in accordance with division and provincial guidelines.
• Provide direct instruction and/or intervention for students individually or in small groups, focusing on literacy, numeracy, and executive functioning skills.
• Support student transitions between grades and programs as needed.
• Lead transition planning by setting up class formation meetings and organizing classroom profiles.
• Provide classroom teachers with student support information (classroom profiles, adapted education plans, individualized education plans) prior to the start of the school year.
• Organize EAs deployment and supervision schedules.

Requirements:

• A teaching philosophy in keeping with Catholic education
