Responsibilities

• Deliver and assess curriculum expectations in alignment with the Ontario Ministry of Education guidelines across a range of grade levels;
• Design inclusive, differentiated instruction and learning experiences to meet diverse student needs, including those with exceptionalities;
• Foster a classroom culture that promotes equity, belonging, and student voice;
• Use a variety of assessment and evaluation strategies to inform instruction and report student achievement;
• Establish positive and respectful relationships with students, parents/guardians, colleagues, and the wider school community;
• Participate actively in professional development and collaborative school initiatives;
• Contribute to extracurricular activities and school events, as appropriate;

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree;
• Valid Certificate of Qualification and Registration with the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT);
• Qualified in the subject area(s) as listed above. Primary (JK–Grade 3), Junior (Grades 4–6), Intermediate (Grades 7–10), Senior (Grades 11–12);
• For positions requiring two or more divisions/subject areas, qualified in a minimum of one area;
• For FSL positions, please note that first consideration will be given to applicants with FSL Qualifications and then to applicants who are bilingual;
• Additional Qualifications (AQs) in relevant subject areas and/or divisions are considered assets;
• Demonstrated knowledge of current educational practices, inclusive education, and culturally responsive teaching;
• Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills;
• Commitment to ongoing learning, collaboration, and reflective practice.

• Practicum and/or recent teaching evaluations (if applicable);
