Job summary

West Vancouver Schools is seeking a Custodian to perform cleaning and minor maintenance duties at West Vancouver Secondary School. The role runs Monday to Friday, 2:30 PM–10:30 PM, 37.5 hours per week, effective immediately until the return of the incumbent.

The successful candidate will hold Grade 12, a Building Service Worker Certificate, a valid BC Driver's License, and a Fire Safety Course, with strong organizational, interpersonal, and physical capabilities.

Qualifications

• Self-starter with ability to organize daily tasks and work independently and as a member of a team.
• Ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions.

• OR an equivalent combination of training and experience

Responsibilities

• Reporting to the Head Custodian, the Custodian is responsible for the performance of a variety of cleaning and minor maintenance tasks, in and around the assigned facility, in accordance with established procedures, as set out in the Custodians Manual.
