Job Description

Department Overview

The Protect Platform teams across North America work to safeguard TD customers, colleagues, and shareholders from cyber and financial crimes. The Security Engineering team designs, deploys, and supports security solutions such as endpoint protection, data protection, vulnerability management, and SIEM, ensuring compliance with standards.

This senior role involves:

1. Leading security technology initiatives and drafting strategic roadmaps.
2. Ensuring proper implementation and operation of security capabilities across TD.
3. Participating in project activities, including scoping, risk management, and stakeholder communication.
4. Building relationships with internal teams and leveraging security tools and platforms.
5. Partnering with Operations for automation and efficiency improvements.
6. Managing technology integration during mergers and acquisitions.
7. Monitoring costs and negotiating third-party contracts.
8. Collaborating with governance and compliance groups on risk and regulatory issues.
9. Working with solution architects to analyze and recommend system capabilities.
10. Staying current on technology trends and developing expertise in TD services.
11. Supporting vendor relations for business case development and service level agreements.
12. Mentoring colleagues and managing requirements throughout project cycles.

Job Requirements

• Experience designing and supporting core security controls, including endpoint, data, vulnerability protection, SIEM, and physical security platforms.
• Proven leadership in managing multi-team projects and timelines.
• Knowledge of modern digital architectures (cloud, containers, microservices).
• Strong understanding of technology infrastructure, especially SaaS setups.
• Proficiency in securing systems and networks, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
