Job Title: Sr. Business Systems Analyst

Job Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid - 2 days/week onsite)

Job Responsibilities:

1. Help shape Data Platform and Analytics business management function's strategic direction by implementing strategies aligned with the client's overall business vision.
2. Simplify technical concepts and procedures; create documentation, tutorials, or videos as needed.
3. Utilize data science and data analysis (basic Python skills are a plus) to support decision-making.
4. Drive Data Fabric principles and oversee operations of the Data Platform Team.
5. Collaborate with engineers, manage scrums, and plan roadmaps.
6. Lead and coordinate activities across multiple functions, ensuring effective integration.
7. Contribute to enterprise-wide projects, providing expertise in designing and testing solutions, and supporting their implementation.
8. Engage with executive audiences to discuss strategies, roadmaps, and goals.
9. Identify issues, seize opportunities, and advise senior management on industry trends and internal matters.
10. Manage relationships with corporate and control functions.
11. Prepare summaries using PowerPoint and Excel.
12. Assess and escalate key issues, recommending appropriate actions.
13. Adhere to enterprise frameworks and methodologies related to business management.
14. Ensure compliance with internal and external requirements, including controls and approvals.
15. Maintain your reputation as a subject matter expert, identifying risks and providing guidance.
16. Lead governance meetings and follow through on action plans addressing performance, risk, and governance issues.

Skills and Experience Required:

• Undergraduate Degree or Technical Certificate.
• 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Ability to work independently as a lead within a specialized Data Platform business management function, providing guidance and advice.
• Experience overseeing complex initiatives end-to-end, especially on medium-term issues (6-12 months).
• Thought leadership and industry knowledge in relevant areas.
• Ability to influence and guide multiple teams across initiatives.
• Experience in Capital Markets and Trade Lifecycle.
• Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, APIs, and SQL.
• Strong ownership and customer focus.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
