Job summary

Enbridge is seeking a Senior Accounting professional to support accounting, reporting and analysis across joint ventures. You will prepare journal entries, perform reconciliations, and ensure compliance with GAAP while collaborating with finance teams on complex issues.

You will engage in audits, research accounting transactions, and contribute to process improvements and cross-training initiatives in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA or equivalent professional certification.
• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in public practice, technical accounting, external financial reporting, or regulated utilities.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, regulatory compliance, financial reporting.
• Proficient with ERP and accounting systems (Oracle Cloud, SAP, SmartView, HFM) and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial information supporting monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting cycles.
• Analyze financial and regulatory reports, including income statement and balance sheet results, in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
• Communicate financial results, trends, and variances while identifying and resolving complex accounting issues.
• Support internal, external, financial, and regulatory audits by preparing schedules, responding to inquiries, and maintaining compliance with internal controls and company policies.
• Research accounting transactions and assess financial impacts.
• Collaborate with Finance and business stakeholders on complex accounting issues, system implementations, process improvements, special projects, and cross-training opportunities.

What You Will Do

Who You Are

• Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly, build effective stakeholder relationships, influence outcomes, manage competing priorities, and work successfully under tight deadlines.
