We are seeking an Advisor, OpEx and Joint Venture Accounting to join our Calgary based team! In this role, you will support accounting, reporting and analysis activities for our diverse joint ventures across all Enbridge business units. You will prepare and analyze financial information to maintain accurate accounting records, meet regulatory and joint venture agreement requirements, and help advance Enbridge’s financial objectives. Bring your accounting expertise, analytical mindset, and commitment to continuous improvement to help strengthen our financial and regulatory reporting! Prepare monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting cycles.
Prepare and analyze financial and regulatory reports, including income statement and balance sheet analyses, in accordance with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Analyze financial results, complex accounting matters, regulatory decisions, and emerging trends, clearly communicating their impacts to stakeholders.
Support internal and external financial audits by preparing schedules, responding to inquiries, and maintaining effective internal controls.
Collaborate with Finance, Regulatory, and business stakeholders on complex deferral accounts, regulatory proceedings, supporting evidence, schedules, and interrogatory responses.
Contribute to special projects, system implementations, process enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives while maintaining integrity, confidentiality, and regulatory compliance.
Employee Type: Regular-Full time. Union/Non: This is a non-union position. Locations: Calgary. Remote work model: Enbridge’s FlexWork hybrid work model offers eligible employees at the Manager level and below the option to work from home on Wednesdays and Fridays, opt for a compressed workweek schedule, or have flexible start and end times. Working Conditions: Office environment with recurring tight deadlines. Overtime is required periodically and will vary depending on reporting deadlines. Minimal travel (<5%) is required to other corporate offices.
