Job summary

The Town of Canmore is seeking a Sport & Fitness Coordinator to plan, promote, deliver, and evaluate inclusive sport, fitness, wellness, and active living programs. This role leads staff, volunteers, and partners to provide safe, inclusive, high-quality, and sustainable services that increase participation and support community well-being.

Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver, evaluate, and continuously improve sport, fitness, wellness, and recreation programs.
• Assess community needs and industry best practices to develop new programs and enhance existing services.
• Monitor program registrations and participation levels, adjusting schedules to meet community needs and organizational objectives.
• Lead management of fitness equipment and program supplies, including preventative maintenance, purchasing, cleaning, and inventory.
• Contribute to budget development, financial reporting, and revenue monitoring to support participation, service, and revenue targets.
• Recruit, train, schedule, supervise, and evaluate staff and volunteers.
