The Team
The Cariboo Resource and Guardianship team consists of 4 other Resource workers, 2 Guardianship workers and is supervised by a Team Leader who is skilled and experienced with SHSS agency homes and transitions. Additionally, this team is supported by a dedicated Team Assistant and can utilize both the SPO A and SPO 21’s as needed. There are frequent all team meetings in the Williams Lake office, giving you the opportunity to hear what is happening with other service areas and share what is happening with your team. Covering a large geographical area, travelling scenic roads is one of the many perks of being a member of this team as you attend homes to ensure the best support for our caregivers. With it’s rich Indigenous and Gold Rush history, and current opportunities to engage with culture throughout the year, the Cariboo continues to be a land that shapes a person. We are looking forward to your contributions.
In this Resource and Out of Care Worker role, you will help secure safe and supportive homes for children and youth on both a short-term and long-term basis, while providing guidance and support to caregivers, family care homes, agency homes, and out-of-care families. You will collaborate with caregivers, service providers, Indigenous partners, and multidisciplinary teams, complete assessments, participate in planning meetings, and support contract management to help ensure children and youth receive the care they need. This is a meaningful opportunity to make a direct impact by helping children and youth remain connected to their home communities, cultures, and support networks, while working in an inclusive and collaborative environment that values diverse perspectives, continuous learning, and strong community partnerships.
