Job summary

Bayshore HealthCare is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide in-home assessments, therapy, and caregiver education in Burlington and surrounding communities. You will work independently within Bayshore’s multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care across varied client needs.

The role requires a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology, active licensure, and preferred experience in home-based services. Travel within Greater Hamilton and Burlington regions is expected.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and current licensure in good standing.
  • Three years’ experience in SLP services preferred.
  • Experience in in-home assessments and treatments is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
  • Develop and implement personalized, evidence-based treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with physicians, psychologists, educators, and other professionals.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in compliance with regulations.
  • Provide client and family education to support communication and swallowing goals.

Every single member of the Bayshore Team across Canada operates with these fundamental values in mindQualifications:What you bring:Master’s Degree or recognized equivalent in Speech-Language PathologyRegistered and in good standing with the College of Audiologists or Speech-Language Pathologists required.Three (3) years’ experience providing Speech-Language Pathology services preferredExperience completing in-home assessments and treatments; knowledge of auto insurance and legal system is an asset particularly medical/legal report writingEnjoy working with clients of all ages in multiple treatment environments. Strong communication (oral and written) and exceptional interpersonal and decision-making skillsDemonstrate basic knowledge of personal computers, and proficiency with secure email.Valid Class G or G2 driver’s license and willingness to travel within the Greater Hamilton and Burlington communitiesPediatric experience an assetBayshore is committed to a high quality and safe environment for both our staff and clients/patients.
