Job summary

Bayshore HealthCare is seeking a Rehab Assistant to support clients in home and community settings in Ontario. You will implement prescribed rehabilitation programs, monitor progress, and report outcomes to the care team.

The role includes driving between visits and providing virtual visit support where applicable. The position is part-time with 2-3 days of daytime availability, serving Southampton, Port Elgin, and Owen Sound with travel between clients.

Qualifications

  • Completion of a recognized Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, and/or Rehabilitation Assistant College Program.
  • University degree in kinesiology or the possession of an RRP or CCRC designation will be considered.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; excellent customer service abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and to collaborate with a team; proficient computer skills and secure email usage.

  • Empower clients by implementing personalized rehabilitation programs with therapists.
  • Foster independence to support home, community, and work reintegration.
  • Lead and supervise exercise programs and group sessions.
  • Support behavioral health through tailored interventions.

The successful candidate will be accountable for ensuring the delivery of the treatment program as prescribed by the applicable regulated health care practitioner. You will support adult and/or pediatric clients to help them achieve their maximum potential. Key responsibilities include carrying out the prescribed treatment program as directed and taught, documenting clients’ progress, and reporting outcomes to the applicable regulated health care provider.
