Job summary

Hutto Independent School District seeks an experienced Career and Technical Education Instructional Specialist to lead curriculum development, instruction, and service delivery for CTE teachers.

Qualifications

The Career and Technical Education Instructional Specialist will provide leadership in curriculum development, instruction, and delivery of services to CTE teachers.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:

• Master's Degree preferred with valid Texas teaching certificate

Special Knowledge/Skills:

• Knowledge of academic subject(s) assigned
• Knowledge and ability to work with CTE students and teachers
• Knowledge of state and federal laws concerning CTE
• Excellent public relations skills
• Knowledge of CTE programs of study, workforce data, industry and occupational opportunities.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to establish and maintain relationships with teachers and administrators.
• Knowledge of data collection and evaluation processes for improving student achievement.
• Knowledge of curriculum and effective instructional practices.
• Ability to select, develop, and/or model effective instructional interventions.
• Skill in designing, modifying and implementing innovative instructional practices to meet the needs of all
  students.
• Skilled in working with computer tools and standard office software programs.
• Ability to instruct students using a variety of technology applications and platforms
• Ability to develop relationships and maintain consistent contact with students, parents, and colleagues
• General knowledge of curriculum and instruction
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

Experience:

• Minimum of three (3) years CTE teaching experience CTE preferred
• Experience in curriculum development
• Experience working with student leadership organizations
