Job summary

Sault Area High School & Career Center is seeking a Career and Technical Education Specialist in Manufacturing to support students in Auto, Drafting, Construction, and Woods pathways. The role includes reading and math intervention, advisory participation, and data-entry responsibilities.

Regular hours 8:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. with bus loop supervision mornings and after school; full benefit package and paid time off provided. Prior manufacturing experience in two areas is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor or Associates Degree preferred.
• Valid Michigan Driver's License.
• Documented training or participation in reading.
• Previous work experience with high school aged students.
• Demonstrated skills in written and verbal communication.
• Documented work experience and/or training in manufacturing areas (2 of 4).
• Working knowledge in at least 2 of the following areas: Automotive, Construction, Drafting, Machining.

Responsibilities

• Serve all assigned students in the CTE programs as identified by the Career Center Director.
• Assist with manufacturing trades and reading/technical skills; aid math competency.
• Support instructors by assisting Special Populations students needing help in class tasks.
• Assist in developing supplementary materials and monitor progress and attendance.
• Submit student reports on schedule and provide documentation to the Director.
• Prepare individual student files and participate in advisory meetings and CTE events.
• Enter quarterly/semester grades for records in the CTE data system.
• Attend MOSPA conference in the Spring (optional).
• Execute other duties as assigned; provide math intervention.
• Supervise bus loop in morning and after school.
