A haven of peace and well-being in the heart of Old Montreal, Rainspa, a 2,500 sq. ft. space spread over two floors, is located inside Hôtel Place d’Armes. Offering a variety of refined treatments that combine ancient knowledge with cutting-edge technology, this spa stands out for its traditional Hammam with two private rooms dedicated to treatments under eucalyptus vapors. There are also ten treatment rooms, two of which can accommodate duo treatments, plus a contemporary salon for manicures and pedicures. Popular with hotel guests and Montrealers alike, the Rainspa offers ultimate rejuvenation in a soothing atmosphere.

We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Spa Supervisor to join our team. In this key role, you will be responsible for supervising the spa team and supporting the Spa Director in day-to-day operations, in collaboration with the Head Massage Therapist. At all times, you will ensure the comfort and satisfaction of our customers, guaranteeing exceptional service.

Working closely with other hotel departments, you’ll help make guests’ stays memorable. You’ll also play a crucial role in achieving the company’s objectives, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, and maintaining high standards of customer service.

YOUR ROLE IS CRUCIAL

  • Perform regular spa reception duties (greeting customers, managing appointments, setting up the spa and maintaining cleanliness, managing the cash register, opening and closing);
  • Supervise the team (estheticians, receptionists and attendants);
  • Supervise massage therapy operations;
  • Promote and sell the services offered and advise customers on the various treatments, packages and products available;
  • Ensure customer satisfaction;
  • Ensure optimal management of the appointment calendar;
  • Contribute to the optimization of the spa’s tools and procedures;
  • Take care of administrative management (data entry, updating of operations tables, etc.);
  • Participate in taking inventories, placing orders and receiving merchandise;
  • Participate in scheduling;
  • Participate in hotel operational meetings;
  • Participate in performance evaluations;
  • Manage discipline;
  • Be responsible for the spa’s common areas and equipment;
  • Be responsible for training receptionists, attendants and estheticians;
  • Ensure that esthetics protocols are applied and respected.

WE NEED YOU IF

  • You have a high school diploma or degree in a related field.
  • Similar experience in the spa or luxury hotel sector, with in-depth knowledge of high-end services.
  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in human resources management of a team of 4+ people, ideally in a luxury spa environment.
  • You are bilingual French/English for effective communication with an international clientele;
  • You maintain exemplary service standards at all times and have the ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment;
  • You are passionate, inquisitive and proactive with a positive attitude and contagious enthusiasm;
  • You embody a culture of excellence, attention to detail, accountability and collaboration;
  • You are disciplined and process-oriented, able to work calmly in all situations ;
  • Be responsible for the spa’s common areas and equipment.
