Job summary

Sushi S Japanese Restaurant in Burnaby seeks an experienced Sous-Chef to lead our kitchen team and oversee line cooks in a busy, authentic Japanese dining setting.

You will supervise specialty chefs and kitchen staff, create new recipes, train cooks in preparation, cooking and plating, plan menus, and ensure quality across sushi and Japanese dishes, including accommodations for allergies.

Qualifications

  • Secondary school graduation certificate is required.
  • 3–5 years of kitchen/restaurant experience.
  • Experience in sushi prep and Japanese cuisine desirable.
