Purolator is hiring an AM Sorter at the Edmonton North Depot. The role involves sorting and handling freight, operating in a fast-paced warehouse environment, and supporting curbside delivery operations during a Sunday to Thursday overnight schedule.

The position is full-time with 40 hours per week, offering hourly pay of $23.40 and requiring the ability to lift up to 70 lbs and pass a criminal record check. Proficiency in English is essential for daily communications.

Schedule: Sunday to Thursday - 11.30pm to 7.30am (overnight shift)

Location: Edmonton North Depot - 17718 114 Avenue

Working Hours: 40 weekly hours

Scheduled Shift: full-time, 23:00-07:30, Sunday to Thursday

Employment Contract: Permanent

Pay rate: $23.40/hour

The AM Sorter sorts and separates freight by destination, weight, size, and shape to meet client delivery schedules.

Responsibilities

• Unload freight from curbside trucks onto the conveyor and from conveyor into curbside trucks
• Unload freight off conveyor or chute for load-out
• Loads freight into linehaul / cube truck or trailer
• Preload mail and packages into curbside delivery vehicles
• Manually transfer bulk or non-conveyable items
• Scan all shipped or received mail or packages to identify improperly sorted packaged mail or packages and mail marked for priority or weekend delivery

Requirements

• Quick learner and ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment
• Reliable and punctual
• Technological literacy
• Ability to lift and/or carry up to 70 lbs.
• CSA approved safety footwear
• Successfully complete a criminal record check to qualify

Experience

Specialized education is not required. No experience necessary.
