Job summary

Purolator in Grande Prairie, AB, is hiring for a part-time AM sorter role in our warehouse. The position offers 22.5 hours per week with a wage of 28.93 per hour, working Monday to Friday 04:15-08:45. You will sort freight by destination, weight, size, and shape to meet delivery schedules.

No specialized education is required; experience is not necessary. A criminal record check and, when required, a Police Clearance Certificate are part of the screening.

Description

Working Hours: Part Time 22.5 hours per week

Monday to Friday 04:15-08:45

Wage: $28.93 per hour

The AM Sorter sorts and separates freight by destination, weight, size, and shape to meet client delivery schedules.

Responsibilities

Unload freight from curbside trucks onto the conveyor and from conveyor into curbside trucks
Unload freight off conveyor or chute for load-out
Loads freight into linehaul / cube truck or trailer
Preload mail and packages into curbside delivery vehicles
Manually transfer bulk or non-conveyable items
Scan all shipped or received mail or packages to identify improperly sorted packaged mail or packages and mail marked for priority or weekend delivery

Requirements

• Proper scan and load techniques
• Ability to lift and/or carry up to 70 lbs.
• Ability to work with a sense of urgency in a time sensitive environment
• Willingness to work as part of a team
• Attention to process, quality and/or operational standards
• Successfully complete a criminal record check and employment verification to qualify
• Obtain a clear Police Clearance Certificate when required
