Job summary

Purolator Inc. is seeking a PM Sorter for our Toronto freight facility to help keep deliveries on schedule. You will sort freight by destination, weight, size and shape to support efficient loading and routing.

No specialized education is required and no previous experience is necessary. English proficiency is essential for daily communications with teammates and customers in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Training and growth opportunities await in a nationwide network.

The PM Sorter sorts and separates freight by destination, weight, size, and shape to meet client delivery schedules.

Responsibilities

• Unload freight from curbside trucks onto the conveyor and from conveyor into curbside trucks
• Unload freight off conveyor or chute for load-out
• Load freight into linehaul / cube truck or trailer
• Preload mail and packages into curbside delivery vehicles
• Manually transfer bulk or non-conveyable items
• Scan all shipped or received mail or packages to identify improperly sorted packaged mail or packages and mail marked for priority or weekend delivery.

Experience

Specialized education is not required.
No experience necessary.
