Job summary

Purolator is seeking a dedicated Sorter to join their Kamloops team. You will unload freight from trucks, sort packages, and prepare shipments for delivery. Shifts run Monday to Friday from 2:00 AM to 8:00 AM, averaging about 27.5 hours per week with a 30-minute unpaid break.

The role focuses on accurate sorting and efficient handoffs to linehaul and curbside delivery teams. This is a hands-on position in a fast-paced logistics environment, requiring attention to detail and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Unload freight from curbside trucks onto the conveyor and from conveyor into curbside trucks
• Unload freight off conveyor or chute for load-out
• Loads freight into linehaul / cube truck or trailer
• Preload mail and packages into curbside delivery vehicles
• Manually transfer bulk or non-conveyable items
• Scan all shipped or received mail or packages to identify improperly sorted packaged mail or packages and mail marked for priority or weekend delivery
