Title: Solutions Designer

Location: Toronto, Ontario (Hybrid)

Duration: 249 Days with possible extension

Must Haves and Required Skills:

• 10 years’ experience in creating technical project and user documentation, including procedures for electronic health-related projects, ideally deploying clinical software systems.
• Subject matter expertise in HL7 V2 and FHIR, XML messaging principles, techniques, and technologies.
• Advanced knowledge of Smile CDR Product and experience with Smile CDR Product implementation.
• Advanced cloud certifications in Azure or AWS; experience with design, implementation, operation, and support of products/services in multiple cloud environments.
• Broad understanding of IaaS and PaaS components used in cloud product/service deployment; expertise in multiple focus areas.
• Experience with migrating legacy products/services from on-premises to the cloud.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code practices, CI/CD pipelines, and source control tools.
• Understanding of deployment, operations, and support best practices in cloud environments.
• Knowledge of other IT systems and integration points within Ontario Health (OH).
• Experience with technical writing tools and industry standards.
• Experience working in the public sector, preferably healthcare.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, stakeholder engagement, and collaboration skills.
• Strong time management skills to handle tight deadlines and multiple projects.
• Ability to define and monitor documentation management practices aligned with Ontario Government standards.

Required Experience / Evaluation Criteria:

• 10 points for 10 years’ experience in electronic health project documentation.
• 10 points for subject matter expertise in SmileCDR, HL7 V2, FHIR, XML messaging.
• 10 points for advanced cloud certifications (Azure/AWS).
• 10 points for cloud product support and migration experience.
• 10 points for coding practices, CI/CD, and source control knowledge.
• 5 points for understanding of other IT systems and integration points.
• 10 points for experience with technical writing standards and tools.
• 10 points for healthcare sector experience.
• 10 points for communication and stakeholder skills.
• 5 points for time management and prioritization skills.

Must Haves:

• 10 years’ experience in electronic health project documentation.
• 5+ years’ SME experience in HL7 V2, FHIR, XML messaging.
• 2+ years’ advanced knowledge of Smile CDR and implementation experience.
• Recent advanced cloud certifications in Azure/AWS.
• 3+ years’ experience in cloud design, implementation, and support.
