Solutions Designer (BBBH11131) Toronto, Canada

Our client has a 10-month, hybrid contract based in downtown Toronto, requiring the following skill set:

Must Haves:

• 10 years’ experience in creating technical project and user documentation, including procedures for electronic health-related projects, ideally with experience deploying clinical software systems.
• 5+ years experience as a subject matter expert in HL7 V2 and FHIR, XML messaging principles, techniques, and technologies.
• 2+ years experience with advanced knowledge of Smile CDR/Smile Digital Health products and Smile CDR product implementation.
• Recent advanced cloud certifications in Cloud Practices (Azure/AWS).
• 3+ years experience in design, implementation, operation, and support of products/services in multiple cloud environments.

Additional Skills and Knowledge:

• Expertise in IaaS and PaaS components across cloud providers.
• Knowledge of migration strategies from on-premises to cloud environments.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines, and source control tools.
• Understanding of security best practices in cloud deployments.
• Experience with IT systems integration, technical writing, and industry standards.
• Experience in the healthcare public sector preferred.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Strong time management skills for handling multiple projects.

Responsibilities:

• Validate and optimize the architecture of the EHR platform in a cloud environment.
• Implement best practices for cloud-native development and code review.
• Support interoperability frameworks like FHIR.
• Guide cloud solutions adoption, including containerization and serverless computing.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare standards (e.g., PHIPA) and security measures.
