We offer two primary types of software : the robust Sage X3 ERP for large enterprises, and innovative Accounts Payable automation software that seamlessly integrates with existing systems. We are growing our sales team and are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Business Development Representative (BDR) to join us in Calgary, Alberta. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone eager to learn the ropes of software sales and grow within our organization.

Position : Business Development Representative (BDR)

Location : Calgary, Alberta (Hybrid - up to 2 days in-office per week)

About the Role :

As a BDR, you will be on the front lines of our sales efforts, responsible for identifying and qualifying potential leads. Working closely with our sales lead and head of sales, you will play a crucial role in building the sales pipeline and setting the stage for our senior sales team to close deals. This role is perfect for someone who is a strong communicator, persistent, and eager to develop their sales skills in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Execute outbound calls and email campaigns to engage with potential leads from provided lists.
  • Qualify leads based on predefined criteria, assessing their needs, budget, authority, and timeline (BANT).
  • Conduct research on target companies to understand their business, revenue, and potential fit for our software solutions.
  • Maintain accurate records of interactions and lead status in our CRM system.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to ensure asmooth handover of qualified leads.
  • Continuously learn about our software solutions and the industries we serve.
  • Participate in training sessions and team meetings both remotely and in-office.

Qualifications :

  • Basic educational background.
  • A strong desire to learn and adapt to software sales processes.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Resilience and a positive attitude when facing rejection.
  • Previous experience of sales and software sales is a bonus
  • Must be a local resident of Calgary, Alberta, with the ability to attend in-office meetings and training sessions up to two days per week.
