Job summary

Lift Community Services seeks a part-time Social Worker to support the qathet Complex Care Housing program. You will conduct psychosocial assessments, provide counselling, and coordinate supports for individuals facing complex mental health, substance use, and social challenges.

You will assist clients and families to strengthen coping, access resources, and achieve stability through trauma-informed, person-centred care in a collaborative interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited program.
• Current full registration with the British Columbia College of Social Workers (BCCSW).
• Minimum three years of related experience with complex mental health, substance use, and social challenges.
• Trauma-informed, harm reduction, and culturally safe care.

The Position

The Social Worker contributes to the qathet Complex Care Housing (CCH) program—a partnership between Lift Community Services, Vancouver Coastal Health, and Tla’amin Nation—by providing psychosocial assessment, counselling, and coordination of supports for individuals with complex mental health, substance use, and social challenges. The role assists clients and families to strengthen coping capacity, access community resources, and achieve stability through person-centered and trauma-informed practice within a collaborative interdisciplinary care model.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited program.
• Current full registration with the British

• Minimum three (3) years of recent related experience working with individuals experiencing complex mental health, substance use, and social challenges, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Demonstrated ability to provide trauma-informed, harm reduction, and culturally safe care.
• Strong interpersonal, counselling, and advocacy skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Proficiency in clinical documentation and use of electronic records.
• Valid BC Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle.
• Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check clearance..
