Job summary

Coventry Homes is seeking a Social Media Specialist to blend strategy, content creation, design, photography, and video production to showcase Coventry Homes and its communities in the Edmonton region.

You’ll develop campaigns, manage calendars, and collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Construction, and Leadership teams to tell authentic stories and drive engagement across platforms.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3–5 years of proven social media management experience.
  • Track record of developing and executing multi-platform social media strategies.
  • Advanced knowledge of social analytics and tools like Hootsuite, Google Analytics.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and video editing.
  • Strong design sense and storytelling ability.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy across our social platforms.
  • Create compelling and engaging content that supports brand awareness, lead generation, customer engagement, partnerships, and recruitment initiatives.
  • Produce and manage social content including photography, short-form video, Reels, Stories, graphics, community spotlights, homeowner stories, showhome features, and promotional campaigns.
  • Plan, schedule, and manage content calendars aligned with business objectives and marketing campaigns.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Construction, Design Centre, and Leadership teams to identify content opportunities and tell meaningful stories.
  • Manage social media communities by monitoring comments, messages, reviews, tags, and brand mentions while responding in a timely and professional manner.
  • Support Coventry’s brand reputation by proactively monitoring conversations and escalating concerns when necessary.
  • Track, measure, and report on social media performance and KPIs.
  • Use analytics and audience insights to optimize content and improve performance.
  • Monitor competitor activity and identify opportunities to differentiate and strengthen Coventry’s online presence.
  • Conduct workshops/training for sales team with social media best practices and support alignment across all company social channels.
  • Stay ahead of emerging trends, platform changes, and content opportunities that can grow Coventry’s audience and engagement.
  • Support additional marketing initiatives and special projects as required.
  • Drive to various sites in Edmonton and surrounding areas, as needed.

We’re looking for a creative, strategic, and visually-driven Social Media Specialist to join our team. This role blends social media strategy, content creation, graphic design, photography, and video production to help showcase Coventry Homes, our communities, our people and our customer experience. It’s about understanding audiences, creating authentic content, identifying opportunities, fostering meaningful engagement, and using insights to continuously improve performance.

  • You’re equally comfortable brainstorming content ideas, filming a Reel, analyzing performance metrics, or presenting recommendations.
  • You stay current with platform updates, trends, emerging technologies, and industry best practices.

Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Digital Marketing or related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ proven experience in social media management and content creation.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing social media strategies across platforms.
  • Advanced knowledge of social media analytics and tools. If you are familiar with Hootsuite or Salesforce and Google Analytics, you will have an advantage over the competition.
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and video editing tools.
  • Creative mindset with a keen eye for design and aesthetics.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work in a faced paced environment, both independently as well as collaborate and contribute as a member of a larger team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Positive and friendly solutions-oriented attitude.
  • Strong team player.
  • Reliable vehicle, and ability to drive to various sites around Edmonton and surrounding areas.
