Job summary

Air North in Whitehorse, Yukon is seeking a Social Media Coordinator to strengthen the online presence for Air North, Chieftain Energy, and Black Wolf Bistro. You will craft engaging stories, grow audiences, and support community-focused campaigns across multiple platforms.

The role requires at least two years of social media experience, content creation skills, and the ability to work with marketing teams to plan calendars, produce photos and videos, and analyze performance to guide future

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Digital Media, or a related field or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
• Minimum two (2) years of professional experience in social media management and digital content creation
• Experience collaborating with multiple departments, contractors and vendors in a corporate environment
• Demonstrated experience creating and managing social media content across multiple platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, X, YouTube, etc.)
• Ability to be accountable, honest, and responsible in all tasks to preserve trust with passengers, partners, and communities
• Desire to contribute to Air North’s mission through customer service, operational excellence, or behind-the-scenes support
• Legally entitled to work in Canada

Responsibilities

• Create original multimedia content (photos, videos, graphics) for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, YouTube and Pinterest
• Plan and manage a content calendar; schedule, publish, and monitor daily content across accounts
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to plan, deliver campaigns and stories
• Actively engage with followers by responding to comments, tags, and mentions
• Support on-the-ground event coverage with live posting, photography, and videos
• Align social media content with business goals through stakeholder collaboration
• Monitor analytics and generate regular reports with data-driven recommendations
