Job summary

BRP is seeking a Technician – Engine Calibration to support the Ski-Doo/ROTAX/Lynx teams in developing and calibrating 4-stroke snowmobile engines and CVTs. You will work with calibration software, test tools and exclusive engine technologies, while improving tools and processes to meet performance objectives.

Join BRP’s calibration team in Valcourt, QC, and contribute to engine refinement, NVH, and emissions targets through hands-on testing and software development.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience and strong interest in engine calibration and thermodynamics.
• Knowledge of control strategies and tools such as INCA, MDA, nCode, SGE, and MATLAB.
• Willingness to learn new technologies related to powertrains, software, and vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Participate in development and validation of architecture calibration software and electronic modules.
• Work with exclusive powertrain technologies and engines.
• Support technicians in testing and calibration deployment.
• Develop software functionalities for vehicle applications.
• Contribute to exhaust systems and vehicle architectures to meet performance goals.
• Coordinate and participate in optimization testing on dynamometers and vehicles.
• Diagnose system failure modes and analyze vehicle responses.

Job description

We are looking for a technician – Engine Calibration to join our calibration team. Reporting to the Project Manager, your primary responsibility will be to support the Ski-Doo / ROTAX / Lynx team in the development and calibration of our 4-strokes snowmobile engine & CVT. This role will also cover the definition and measurement of performance criteria, as well as the continuous improvement of our tools and processes.

You Will Have The Opportunity To

• Participate in the development and validation of our architecture calibration software and electronic modules, as well as in the deployment of our technology
• Work with our exclusive direct injection technology E-TEC & ACE engines
• Support technicians in their test, use of our calibration tools & calibration deployment.
• Develop software functionalities tailored to the specific characteristics of different vehicle applications.
• Contribute to the development of exhaust systems and vehicle architectures to achieve performances, NVH and emissions objectives.
• Coordinate and participate in optimization testing on dynamometers and vehicles
• Diagnose system failure modes and analyze vehicle responses

YOU WILL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS

• DEC Mechanical engineering nor DEC in mechatronics
• Relevant experience and strong interest in engine calibration and thermodynamics
• Knowledge of control strategies and tools such as INCA, MDA, nCode, SGE, and MATLAB
• Curiosity to learn the new technologies related to powertrains, software, and vehicles
