Job summary

Manning Park Resort in British Columbia is seeking a Snow Groomer to join our Alpine Operations team for the winter season (November–April). You will operate snow grooming equipment, ensuring safe, efficient grooming and a high-quality guest experience on our slopes.

The role requires a valid Class 5 driver’s license, prior equipment operating experience, and a strong mechanical aptitude. Staff housing is available; shifts include weekends/holidays and may be weather dependent.

Qualifications

• A valid class 5 driver's license is required.
• Previous equipment operating experience is required.
• Experience with snow grooming machinery is an asset.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work late, overnight, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Operate snow grooming equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ensure grooming provides an excellent experience for guests.
• Maintain and operate equipment per company standards.
• Keep workspace clean and organized; report maintenance needs promptly.
• Assist in repairs and scheduled maintenance of equipment as required.
• Identify issues on runs and report to management.
• Perform other tasks as required.

We are presently searching for our next great team member as a Snow Groomer to join our Alpine Operations team. If you can provide our guests with an amazing experience, combined with working as an energetic part of our resort, we want to hear from you.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include: (but not limited to)

• Safe and efficient operation of snow grooming equipment, including a variety of snow cats and attachments, grading equipment and other heavy machinery
• Ensure grooming provides an excellent experience for guests
• Maintain and operate equipment according to company standards
• Keep workspace clean and organized
• Assist in maintaining and cleaning of all snow grooming equipment and related machinery
• Identify and report all maintenance requirements in a timely fashion
• Assist in repairs and scheduled maintenance of equipment as required
• Identify any maintenance or operational issues on runs and report to management
• Other tasks as required

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• A valid class 5 or equivalent driver’s license is a must
• Previous equipment operating experienceis a must
• Previous experience with snow grooming machinery an asset
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to follow directions while unsupervised
• Ability to work late and overnight
• Ability to perform manual tasks such as lifting, shoveling, and moving over 40lbs
• Basic First Aid required; higher qualification an asset
• Must be available to work weekends and holidays
• Ski/Snowboard experience an asset
• Chainsaw experience an asset
• Grooming being weather dependent, flexibility regarding shifts & schedule is required

This is a Seasonal Position; you must be able to commit to the role for the full Winter Season (November-April).
