Job summary

Curtiss-Wright Corporation in Ottawa, Ontario is seeking an SMT Machine Operator/Assembler for the 3:30 pm – 12:00 midnight shift. You will support SMT production, operate placement equipment, printers, lasers, and related processes, ensuring quality and safety.

Strong mechanical aptitude and prior SMT exposure are preferred. The role requires a high school diploma with manufacturing experience and aptitude for reading technical drawings.

Qualifications

• High School diploma is required; college certificate/diploma is an asset.
• 2+ years of manufacturing experience, preferably with SMT equipment.
• Experience with measurement tools and assembly drawings is preferred.
• Experience reading work instructions, diagrams, or blueprints.
• SAP knowledge is an asset and familiarity with PWB assembly is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Follow procedures for quality, safety, productivity, and material handling.
• Operate SMT placement equipment and related processes as directed.
• Identify damaged or incorrect parts and report to supervision.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in a high-mix environment.
