Job summary

RBC in Toronto is seeking a dynamic Trainee within Personal & Commercial Banking to advise high value small business clients and help them start, manage and grow their enterprises. You will be RBC’s ambassador in the local market, growing new business and deepening client relationships.

Responsibilities include delivering tailored financial advice, using digital tools, and visiting clients on-site to understand objectives and operations.

Qualifications

• Must-have: Business development and client acquisition, and prospecting skills.
• Must-have: Proven track record in exceptional client relationship management.
• Must-have: Excellent communication, time management and organizational skills.
• Nice-to-have: Credit skills and knowledge, risk assessments, financial analyses, credit structuring/solutions.
• Nice-to-have: Completion of Associate Account Manager training or SME ownership experience.

Responsibilities

• Acquire, grow and deepen client relationships through value-added financial advice.
• Proactively contact clients, gather insights, understand needs and satisfaction with RBC.
• Plan and prioritize client and market activities, introduce RBC partners to fulfill needs.
• Manage risk and due diligence in banking procedures and develop action plans.
• Champion digital enablement and RBC mobile/online applications for client engagement.
• Visit clients on-site to understand business objectives and operations.
