Job summary

Compass Group Canada is seeking a friendly and efficient Bartender to craft and serve beverages to guests in a fast-paced bar setting. You will set up bars, stock supplies, mix drinks to recipes, and ensure responsible service while delivering an outstanding guest experience.

Responsibilities

  • Set up assigned bars and stock all beverages, garnishes, glassware and bar supplies.
  • Mix, garnish and present drinks using standard recipes with portion control.
  • Serve beverages responsibly and observe all alcohol compliance policies.
  • Maintain a clean, organized bar area and complete daily inventory counts.
  • Build guest relationships and adhere to uniform standards and SOPs.

Job description

The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving beverages to guests in a timely manner, while maintaining a friendly and courteous demeanor.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Set up assigned bars and stock all beer, wine, spirits, paper products, straws, stirrers, condiments, glassware, ice and produce
  • Maintain stock, prepare, cure, and store all fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices and other perishables to ensure product quality
  • Take and/or process orders for drinks; mix, garnish and present drinks using standard ingredient recipes; practice prudent portion control
  • Serve beverages responsibly. Request identification and adhere to all unit and company alcohol compliance policies
  • Communicate and anticipate product needs and shortages
  • Keep work area clean and organized
  • Complete and submit daily inventory counts
  • Arrange bottles and glasses to maintain an attractive display in the bar area as per directed standard
  • Comply to all Health and Safety Policies and procedures
  • Build relationships with guests
  • Adhere to uniform standards and job specific standard operation procedures
Qualifications, Skills And Abilities
  • Previous bartending experience required
  • Actively demonstrate teamwork, safe work practices, open communication
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with strong desire and ability to delight and accommodate guests
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to work in high pressure situations and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • ProServe certification required
  • Evening and weekend availability required
