Job summary

Saputo Inc. is hiring for a Skilled Worker at our Canada location. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, you will set up, start up, and operate filling equipment, ensuring accurate documentation and clean work areas in a fast-paced dairy environment.

Earn a starting rate of CAD 25.04/hour with raises every 6 months up to CAD 33.12/hour. Benefits include insurance, retirement plan, telemedicine, employee share ownership, and paid time off.

Role Overview

Overview of the role: Saputo Dairy Products Canada G.P. is seeking a Skilled Worker, for an existing opportunity within our organization. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, this position is responsible for setup, start up and the operation of filling equipment, accurate and timely completion of documentation, and good housekeeping that meet food safety requirement.

Schedule & Salary

Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday, 7am to 3pm.

Salary: Starting rate $25.04/hour Full-Time only: there are salary increases every 6 months up to 24 months of service, with a target rate of $33.12/hour.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for set up, start up and the operation of filling equipment
• Input and receive data from computer terminal
• Maintain quality control checks of codes, seals and weights
• Regular cleaning of associated work area and equipment operated
• Report mechanical failures and repair minor breakdowns
• Supports and maintains Saputo Dairy Products Canada G.P. quality standards.
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Grade 12 education
• Mechanically inclined
• Working knowledge in food or dairy environment
• Forklift Licensed preferred
• Basic computer knowledge would be an asset
• Must be a person who can multi-task and enjoys working in a dynamic environment
• A high commitment level and a team player who works well with everyone
• Can easily assume additional responsibility as required
• Quick at assessing the facts and making a sound decision
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
