Job summary

Cummins in Edmonton is seeking a skilled technician to perform engine maintenance and repairs in a service environment. You will use diagnostic tools, maintain detailed service records, and adhere to HSE policies while staying current with Cummins product certifications.

The role offers exposure to modular engine builds and opportunities for ongoing training, with a schedule of Monday to Friday, 3:30pm–Midnight. Base pay is commensurate with experience and benefits are location-dependent.

Qualifications

• Primarily engaged in maintenance or basic repairs/diagnostics.
• Requires direct supervision and review of workmanship quality.
• Understands access to engine repair process information sources.
• Understands after-treatment system and basic component functions.
• Has worked on external components on a diesel engine and understands the basic concepts.
• Has some knowledge of engine diagnostic software.
• Apprentice welding experience and mechanical aptitude.
• Modular builds for Haul Trucks familiarity.
• Monday to Friday - 3:30pm - Midnight.

• Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products

• Maintain own tools

Responsibilities

In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:

• Primarily engaged in maintenance or basic repairs/diagnostics

• Demonstrates an understanding on access to engine repair process information sources.

• Understands after-treatment system and can identify major components and their function at a rudimentary level.

• Has worked on external components on a diesel engine and understands the basic concepts.

• Has some knowledge of engine diagnostic software

Compensation and Benefits

Qualifications

Education, Licenses, Certifications:
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience:
Ideally 2-3 years' experience in manufacturing environment

Apprentice must have welding experience, mechanical aptitude

Apprentice has to be familiar on modular builds for Haul Trucks

Monday to Friday - 3:30pm - Midnight
