Job summary

Cummins Inc. in Fort McMurray is seeking a Diesel Technician/Mechanic to diagnose and complete repairs on engines at the customer’s site, with on-site work and 7x7 rotations.

The role requires 5 years of heavy equipment experience, Red Seal certification, a valid license, and the ability to pass drug and alcohol tests. Base salary is commensurate with experience, with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, life insurance, pension and more.

Qualifications

Job Summary:

Diagnoses and completes less complex repairs to engines at the customer’s site.

We are looking for a talented Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our Distribution business in Fort McMurray

Will make an impact in the following ways:

• Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop
• Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools
• Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles
• Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies
• Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products
• Maintain own tools

In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:

• Completes complex internal engine repairs
• Performs engine overhauls unassisted
• Detailed understanding of the aftertreatment system and components
• Proficient experience with engine diagnostic software

This role requires a 5-year motor vehicle report, free from major violations and must meet the conditions of the company policy
