Job summary

Cummins Inc. is seeking a Skilled Technician in Edmonton to perform engine repairs, maintenance, and diagnostics in a shop setting. You will maintain detailed service records and uphold Cummins HSE policies while developing skills on Cummins products.

The ideal candidate has experience in maintenance or basic repairs, and a basic understanding of after-treatment systems and engine diagnostic software. This is a 100% on-site, shop-based role with opportunities for certification and growth.

Qualifications

• Requires direct supervision and review of workmanship quality.
• Understands access to engine repair process information sources.
• Understands after-treatment system at a basic level.
• Experience with external components on a diesel engine.

Job description

We are looking for a talented Skilled Technician to join our Distribution business in Edmonton. will make an impact in the following ways:

• Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop
• Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools
• Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles
• Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies
• Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products
• Maintain own tools

In order to be successful in this role you will need the following:

• Primarily engaged in maintenance or basic repairs/diagnostics
• Requires direct supervision and review of workmanship quality
• Demonstrates an understanding on access to engine repair process information sources.
• Understands after-treatment system and can identify major components and their function at a rudimentary level.
• Has worked on external components on a diesel engine and understands the basic concepts.
• Has some knowledge of engine diagnostic software

Experience:

Ideally 2-3 years’ experience in manufacturing environment

Apprentice must have welding experience, mechanical aptitude

Apprentice has to be familiar on modular builds for Haul Trucks

Monday to Friday – 3:30pm – Midnight
