Job summary

OCL Industrial Services Ltd. is seeking motivated Skilled Labourers and Pre-Registered Apprentices to join our field teams on large-scale industrial projects in oil & gas and mining.

This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience and build a career in the trades while supporting critical maintenance and construction activities. We are hiring for project-based assignments across Western Canada, with full-time permanent employment, day shift, and rotational schedules as required.

Qualifications

• Industrial setting experience in oil & gas, mining, or heavy construction is required.
• Must pass pre-access Drug & Alcohol test as per site requirements.
• Registration as an apprentice in a relevant trade (Millwright, Pipefitting, etc.) preferred.
• Essential: CSTS, WHMIS, and other safety certifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist trade crews with equipment installation, maintenance, and site preparation.
• Follow HSE protocols and participate in daily FLHAs to maintain a safe site.
• Operate basic hand and power tools under supervision of Journeypersons.
• Support rigging, spotting, and material handling for piping and mechanical scopes.

ABOUT THE ROLE

OCL Industrial Services is seeking motivated Skilled Labourers and Pre-Registered Apprentices to join our field teams on large-scale industrial projects within the Oil & Gas and Mining sectors. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain hands‑on experience and build a career in the trades while supporting critical maintenance and construction activities.

Key Requirements

• Industrial Experience — Previous experience working in an industrial setting (oil & gas, mining, or heavy construction) is required.
• Compliance — Ability to successfully pass a pre-access Drug & Alcohol (D&A) test as per site requirements.

Location: Western Canada (including projects in Fort St. John, Dawson Creek, Chetwynd, and Grande Prairie)

Employment Type: Full-time permanent

Schedule: Day shift, rotational and shutdown / turnaround rotations as required

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support trade crews with equipment installation, maintenance, and site preparation tasks.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following all HSE protocols and participating in daily FLHAs.
• Operate basic hand and power tools under the guidance of Journeyperson mentors.
• Assist with rigging, spotting, and material handling for various mechanical and piping scopes.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Required — Proven experience in an industrial setting (Oil, Gas, or Mining preferred).
• Required — Successful completion of a pre-access Drug & Alcohol test.
• Preferred — Registration as an apprentice in a relevant trade (Millwright, Pipefitting, etc.).
• Essential — Valid safety tickets (CSTS, WHMIS, etc.) and a commitment to safe work practices.
